About Me

Hi everyone! I'm Anjali, a 7th grader living in NYC and I love to read and bake. I started to read at a young age. I don't remember when but my parents tell me that I was 4 years old when I just picked up some books. To their amazement, I started reading by myself. Some of my favorite books are A Good Girls Guide to Murder, the Percy Jackson series, and The Inheritance Games. I am also a good writer and want to be an author when I grow up.

 

The more I've read, the more I've realized food plays an important part in many stories. I think this might be one of the reasons I also love to bake for my family and friends. While I might get some help in the kitchen from my mom and brother, I always choose and test the recipes. I think some of the best recipes come from the books we read and I want to share those with you. If I don't become a author when I grow up, I think I will become a baker.

This blog started in August of 2025 but I had the idea to start it earlier that summer. I was in the pool with my friend and we were rating books that we had both read. We also talked about baking and some of the yummiest things we had eaten. Suddenly a switch flicked in my head. I thought, "Why not create a blog about the two things I love?" Hence Ink Stained Thoughts.
